Yes, there seems to be a reason to celebrate just about every day, but why not, right?! Yesterday was National Grilled Cheese Day, a type of sandwich that never seems to go out of style. It used to be my favorite growing up, but I’ve recently began opting for different types of sandwiches because the original grilled cheese of my childhood was boring my taste buds. After exploring many of these exciting grilled cheese recipes, I’m willing to experiment with tradition and expand the boundaries of two slices of bread and a slice of cheese.
For example, the sandwich pictured above consists of macaroni and cheese and barbecue pulled pork. It sounds extremely unhealthy but so delicious at the same time that I’d probably feel guilty about my the calorie intake while I scarf it down. Why does everything scrumptious (with the exception of a few healthy alternatives) have to be so bad for you?

add bacon bits to the melted cheese and it’ll add more oomph! I like the cheesy potato wedges sprinkled with bacon bits at jack in the box. so a grilled cheese mashed with bacon bits will be fantastic!

you haven’t had grilled cheese until you’ve had the buttermilk fried chicken at the melt shop in nyc.
