I don’t know about you, but I don’t go to the grocery store that often. I’m broke and in my twenties, so a fully stocked pantry is not priority. When I do go to the store, I end up buying a lot of things that I think will last me a while, and they do, but I get sick of them. So I love it when I find ways to spruce up food and make it interesting and delicious again. Here are some really simple ways to amp up some of the foods you already love, with stuff you might already have.

Peanut butter and celery, pretty good <3

The popsicles, raspberries, and gummy bears look pretty cool, but that banana hot dog looks disgusting.

The banana hot dog really does look disgusting. The easy corn dogs look yummy! Neat ideas.

My husband thinks I’m crazy for liking salt on my watermelon.

@TulleSkirts@xanga - Slice a cinnamon bun in half like you would a bagel, butter it, add bacon and an egg and it makes the best breakfast sandwich ever

@Trueinnerbeauty - Sounds like a McGriddle from McDonald’s! I’ll try that.
My grandma likes to put salt on her watermelon and cherries. I also like putting tajin powder and lemon on my watermelon, mango, cucumbers and oranges. YUM!!
I’m gonna try the breakfast Popsicle. It’s so convenient!

I used to put salt on watermelon every time I ate it. I quit doing it though. I think it tastes sweeter plain.
I’ve tried the easy corn dogs.. they’re okay. Nothing to get excited over, but fine if you don’t have much else.

I was feeding my nephew baby cereal, and he wouldn’t eat it. I tried some, and it was very bland. I added almond butter, applesauce, and a touch of cinnamon, and he couldn’t stop eating the stuff.

Hmmm. Most of these sound pretty good. I would never do the gummy bear/vodka thing, because I don’t drink. And I hate raspberries, so I’d have to substitute them with strawberries.
Otherwise, good ideas!

I put a little honey in my raspberries. yum yum.
I bet the white chocolate would be good too though

I’ve always managed to be creative with food I needed to use up. Not sure about most of the things on here. The raspberries and chocolate sounds like it might taste good.

peanut butter in ramen? that’s a bit odd.. though i’ve met someone who puts peanut butter on boiled egg.
@hereinyourarms11@xanga - i used to put salt on watermelon as well, but i stopped because i preferred the natural sweetness of it
