I’ll admit, I have bit of an Oreo problem. For the longest time I didn’t even like the tasty cookies… then something in me switched like a lightbulb. Now I can’t get enough of them. Anything with Oreo’s has become my best friend. That’s why when I saw that Dunkin’ Donuts was doing a promotion with Oreo I was beyond excited.

Through my meal program at NYU, we are able to use our meal swipes and ‘Dining Dollars’ at the Dunkin’ that is conveniently located 2 blocks away. I’ve always loved Coolattas (the Tropicana Orange is heavenly) so when the Vanilla Bean Coolatta with Oreo was released, I rushed to my local Dunkin’ and immediately demanded one (nicely, of course).

I don’t think there are words to describe my immediate affection. I’m not even sure if orgasmic is the correct word. They really are just THAT good. It’s the perfect combination of creamy and Oreo-y (I’ve resorted to making up my own words, clearly). It’s almost like you are drinking the cream center of an Oreo in drink form with little bits of Oreo to garnish it. Sounds amazing, doesn’t it?

These delicious treats have become the bain of my existence. I always crave one. They are sugary and fabulous and I can’t seem to get enough. These Coolattas are the reason I have to go to the gym so often, I’m pretty certain. It also doesn’t help that the Dunkin’ is literally two doors down from the gym…

Today, my heart broke into a thousand tiny pieces thanks to this article by College Lifestyles. The article highlights the best and worst things you can order at Dunkin’. So of course the worst drink on the entire high caloric menu is my beloved Oreo Coolatta. At 480 calories for a small this little powerhouse also packs 75 grams of sugar. Well, if that’s not painful to mentally and physically digest than I’m not sure what is.

I knew it was bad for me, but putting it in black and white just makes it all the worse. Ignorance really CAN be bliss. The only plus to this mess is that my meal plan officially ended today so if I want to buy my death by sugar drink, I’ll have to shell out actual cash. The chances of that are slim. I’m always terrible at justifying purchases on sweets (way too much of a guilty conscience). Sigh, such a disappointment…

Lovelies, have you tried the Oreo Coolatta at Dunkin’ Donuts? What are some of your favorite sweet pleasures that are actually horrible for you?
