Yeah, you weren’t the only one calling in. It turns out we Millennials went through a lot of the same things growing up in the decade of Toy Story and Titanic.
Admittedly, I spent most of my childhood reading. So while I couldn’t exactly relate to the picture above, I could definitely relate to this feeling:
I lived for The Babysitters Club. And chances are, a lot of you did, too! That’s the beauty of pop culture: Every generation sees and participates in a lot of the same cultural phenomena as everyone else, or at least knows about them. This gives us something to talk about and bond over. A beautiful thing!
So come on, let’s geek out together over these pictures. You know you want to.
Go here for even more ’90s pop culture pictures!
Did you grow up in the 1990s, Lovelies? Even if you didn’t, what’s your favorite part of the culture from that era?

I was too old for Gak…but I am pretty sure I had it. I don’t know what that cookie and frosting stuff is but my friends may have ate it. It looks scary. Keg parties were the best part of Saturday…and Snick had become weird to me.

Texting wasn’t big till the 2000′s. And a lot of people still have to clear out their messages to get new ones. Just last year I had a non-smart phone that only held 100 messages at a time. Just sayin.

Um… I think this is one of the dumbest and least accurate “lists” of this type I’ve encountered.

@VampireOfSeduction@xanga - Really? I thought everything was true to me! Except maybe for chain letters. Never did them, never received them lol.
The 90s, when everything was the sh!t! Love knowing I was a 90s kid.

Are you Afraid of the Dark was my childhood. I also remember being so excited for TGIF…Family Matters.. And Goosebumps. My twin sister used to read all the Goosebumps books when they came out. I also remember watching the series after 6th grade class was over on fridays. I loved the 90′s. The music was also so good. It will never be like that again. I’m just blessed to be apart of it

Ha yea! I did all of this except record on cassets, I don’t really recall having cassets and I didn’t ever wear overalls, I though those were an 80s thing.
I had one of those recorders in the first picture. I captured everything.. funny I was probably 6 or 7 many years later when I was 21, my mother passed away and I found some random old tapes in a box, I played them and they were the things I captured, her singing me good, telling me she loved me. It was pretty awesome to have those on record.
