Having watched many an episode of Bridezillas and My Fair Wedding with David Tutera, I am fully aware that some women approach bridal wear from a unique perspective. From turtleneck gowns to seersucker dresses and Converse, I’ve seen quite a few atypical outfits walk down the aisle via my television. When I was young, I attended a Halloween-themed wedding during which the bride dressed as a medieval queen and the guests were all dressed in costume! Even those gowns, however, seem completely normal when compared to some fashion designers’ wacky wedding dress designs.
Consider, for example, the above photograph. I had to do a double take before I realized that the model was carrying hatboxes. Yes, hatboxes are part of this lavish bridal ensemble. After checking out some other abnormal bridal wear, though, I have to say that this design (minus the luggage) is actually relatively tame. At least the outfit isn’t a white romper, nor is it made of straw, like some of the other wedding dresses in the gallery. I have to say, I would have a hard time letting any close friend of mine say “I do” in one of these strange outfits. Check out the photos below for some seriously bizarre designs!
Aren’t these dresses crazy, Lovelies? Have you ever seen an unusual wedding dress?

Well, you can say that are unique, to say the least. The dresses themselves aren’t that bad, it is the over-the-top accessories. (With the exception of the straw dress. I wouldn’t pay to clean and preserve that one.) I rather like the first one in the gallery. I think a really modern bride can pull that off, but maybe with a less dramatic head accessory. Plus it has delicate and feminine details, which I love. Dress #7 from the gallery looks rather comfortable, almost like a night gown. The romper with giant floral detail, I think that might be better for a really chic garden tea party bridal shower…

Haha wow. I think the halloween wedding would be fun, but I’m glad my fiancee doesn’t want to go that route.
