Sure, cartoon kids remain young forever. But what if they did grow up — who would they become? 

Okay, Lisa Simpson growing up to be Hillary Clinton is an easy one. Both strong women, accustomed to dealing with harsh critics from the outside world. But some of the comparisons this article makes are just incredible why-didn’t-I-think-of-that moments, like King Bob from Recess growing up to be Chuck Bass from Gossip Girl:

There is a striking resemblance between the cartoon and the actor, which is the entire point. Though some cartoons hearken even further back in the ’90s, such as Ashley Spinelli from Recess turning into Emily Fields from Pretty Little Liars: 


It’s odd to think of kids from cartoons growing up into adults, but hey, it’s just as probable as all of us Lovelies growing up, right? To me, this art shows how a person’s life — even if it isn’t real — can go in any direction they want. So we should just enjoy the ride!
