Italian Vogue editor, writer and style icon, Anna Piaggi, passed away today at the age of 81. Famed for her blue hair and vintage eclectic look, she has been described by Bill Cunningham of the New York Times as a “fine poet in clothes“. In 2006, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London put her amazing collection of fashions in an exhibt called Fashion-ology— which included 265 pairs of shoes, 29 fans, 932 hats, 2,865 dresses, 24 aprons and 31 feather boas.
