All women have had a ‘Marilyn moment‘ at some point. Skirts and wind just don’t mix. But Marilyn Monroe turned what could be a potentially embarrassing moment into something romantic and nostalgic. Now when the wind catches my skirt I think of that amazing scene from The Seven Year Itch and I smile instead of blushing.
Embarrassing things happen to everyone. My advice is— just remember to wear some type of undergarment if you are gonna wear a skirt. Because a ‘Marilyn moment’ can go real bad, real fast if you don’t consider your underwear choice. Here are some celebrities who got caught in their own ‘Marilyn moment’.

Have you ever had a ‘Marilyn moment’?

Yes, I have. Skirts and wind definitely don’t go together. Glad I was wearing the “good underwear.”

Technically it wasn’t a wind-induced Marilyn moment but many years ago in eighth grade I wore a skirt to school for the first time and while grabbing a book from my locker I also grabbed the hem of my skirt and didn’t realize it until I had taken a few steps. Thankfully there was almost no-one in the hallway!

A few times. Most recently was on Sunday. I was on the USS Midway in San Diego and some parts of the ship have fans at knee level -____-

I love Marilyn! Have a print of her at Grand Central Station in my living room. Yes, I had a moment, during summer months when I wear sun dresses sans underwear. I carried my load of books, and my pillow outside to my hammock for some pleasure. We lived atop a hill, but had neighbors right across the street. I sat down on the hammock, lost my balance, swayed to and fro, and hit the ground, with everything but my neck and face showing. My old geezer of a neighbor gave me the thumbs up sign, as he did every time I drove by after that.
