In case you somehow haven’t been online in a week, yesterday was Chick-fil-a appreciation day. Thousands of Chick-fil-a supporters across the country lined up to eat fried chicken and support the chain’s stance against same-sex marriage.
But, though droves of people did dine at the restaurant, just as many were voicing their distaste for it. No matter what side you’re on, check out this funny video in which “Colonel Sanders” touts competitor KFC’s gay-friendly stance.
John Goodman, you can do no wrong in my eyes. Pro-gay rights or not, I think we can all at least agree that the man is hilarious. And that fried chicken is pretty delicious, no matter where it comes from. [via Gawker]

This is annoying. I love my gay friends, but people are allowed I have their own views and opinions on things. They are a Christian company, they were founded as one, so this should come as no surprise.
My family is very religious & don’t agree with gay marriage, & I respect that because it’s their right to believe so. I will continue to eat at Chic-Fil-A, as will many of my gay friends. I also think its immature to shove any type of PDA in someone’s face. Very immature.

@SUPletstake___surveys@xanga - It’s about tolerance though. I think people are entitled to their own opinions, but when they start bashing people about how they feel, that’s not right… Most of my family are Christians, but alot of them dont mind gay marriages at all.

I just want to point out to those protesters that not every single employee that works at every Chik-Fil-A is against gay marriage and rights. I believe in their rights and they’re just people. I shall continue to eat their delicious fries.
Also, this isn’t news. Just because it’s come into a brighter media light, doesn’t mean that it hasn’t already been happening right under your noses. Just mind your own business and buy the damn delicious chicken.

@bbanmen420@xanga - The thing is, this whole thing started when the CEO answered a question in an interview. They still hire gay employees and supervisors, and they still seat gay families. There wasn’t any putting down, Dan Cathy just answered honestly.
Plus, anyone who were REALLY surprised or think that harassing Chik-Fil-A employees because of the issue is “peaceful protest” shouldn’t be driving to Chik-Fil-A anyway. They make the roads dangerous -.-”
