I know, I know, everyone has the right to explore their interests. But sometimes, you just have to ask questions. Not offensive questions, just inquiries: “How do you get your makeup so matte?” “Are those your natural eyelashes?” “Does it bother you to sit in your own poop for long periods of time?”
So don’t feel bad for checking these out, Lovelies. We shouldn’t be afraid to talk about or ask questions about subcultures we aren’t a part of. How else do we learn about them? Which is why I ask you all: Keep it clean in the comments section. Just because you aren’t a part of a certain subculture doesn’t give you the right to disrespect those who are. We all have our quirks. Let’s just enjoy the fact that we humans are a really diverse and complicated bunch!

What do you think about these subcultures? Do you think they would have existed without the presence of the Internet?

Way beyond? LOL. Both were around long before the internet. I’ll leave it at that b/c anything else I say may seem like I am trolling when I am not…especially about infantilism.

Did not know about Guro Lolitas haha. Oh.

actually, ganguro is a fashion trend that’s derived from the gyaru style, and it’s seen on a lot of girls, or used to be seen

Out of all of these the Adult Babies or AB’s stick out the most because being a AB or diaper wearing is normally (normally people not always) associated with being sexual or a fetish.

In truth, I have heard of both of these. Cosplay is very popular for ‘Living Dolls’ and I know a few girls in the Philippines from Facebook that look very much like this. I think it’s wonderful, very faerie-like and makes a great and beautiful photo.
As for the guy in a diaper – ahhm – I’m not changing him. I think it’s your turn. Eww …

Those men are just sick assed perverts.

I know too many bronies. My boss is acctually helping run a brony convention.. bleh.

To each their own, I suppose. They’re fine by me as long as they’re not hurting others. I do think these subcultures could exist without the Internet.

to each their own.

i understand the 15 year-old in the first photo and her obsession with anime. i’ve seen her videos on youtube. she even changed her voice to emulate anime girls. i hope she finds her true self and i’m sure she will.
the guy in the second photo – are there really people like this? i cannot begin to understand where he is coming from. doesn’t he still know that he is role-playing? and i would be totally concerned about if my kids saw me that way. am i intolerant for saying this? the fact is i do not know why a guy would wear the diaper and act that way. since i am NOT him, i will not judge him. i will say that it is not MY cup of tea to be like that. i doubt the internet has anything to do with the guy in the crib. but for the girl – i think it is everything.

Husband’s a brony. I support him entirely.

I never got it; why is My Little Pony so much fun?
guest
@Adrenaline_Unknown@xanga - It’s because of the show that recently was created, My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. Which is admittedly a pretty good show for being based off of a toy. One of the main people behind it is the same person behind Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends. While there might have still been some guys who liked My Little Pony before, the whole “brony” thing didn’t really start until that show, as far as I know.

Is this any different or worse than the whole zombie thing? My husband has actually planned out how we’re going to get through a zombie apocalypse by building a planking system out a two story window that we can use to trick and dump zombies while we live on the roof *I know, total face palm*, but I’m cool with it as long as he doesn’t use me as bait and cover while he gets away, even though, yes, I know they’re not real…

@GrandFortuna@xanga -
I LOL’ed reading that!
I accidentally sparked a Zombie fire under my friends husband. He asked me why I was trying to get a carry permit and I JOKINGLY told him I’d been watching The Walking Dead and decided I should learn to protect myself… two weeks later I thought my best friend was going to kill me when her husband made her do a gas-mask drill!

I once heard if you can think of it, there is a porn for it. I think the same is true for internet subcultures and interests. Its a jungle out there *_*

i just realized you guys get alot of your stuff off buzz feed don’t you?

I don’t even think that it’s the internet that started these things, it’s just that the internet makes it possible to publicize it.

I’m a fan of the “living doll” culture. It’s called Gyaru (japanese world for girl). Just a bunch of chicks who hyper stylize their features to emulate anime/cartoon characters or accentuate their features to be more girly.
I own a lot of eyelashes and the lenses that make your eyes bigger. Mostly asians do this because it makes them look cuter or more US/EU with bigger eyes. I think it’s adorable – not suitable for everyday life and certainly not practical for professional work. It’s fun to dress up, and I do it occasionally. I have to admit though, I get a lot of attention when I’m wearing those eyes. I think guys are subconsciously attracted to bigger eyes
As for the adult babies… I think I saw that on Jerry Springer once. Interesting. But to each their own, right?
