There is nothing classier than a French manicure. But those can get boring, especially with this current neon nail trend. So here are four fun ways to liven up your French manicure.

1. Black and Gold


A two-toned Frenchie? Who would’ve thunk? I love the elegant color combo, and the shimmer of the gold next to the shine of the black. This would totally work with whatever colors your heart desires, but there’s something about this duo that just screams “classy.”
2. Polka Dots

There are very few things in this world cuter than polka dots (see: baby animals and Ryan Gosling). So combining them with a standard French manicure is probably the most brilliant idea ever! Cute meets classy, all just in your hands.

3. Matte Black


Surely I wasn’t the only one in middle school to attempt the “Rock Star Frenchie,” right? Of course, when I tried it, it involved trying to use a toothpick to drag some cheap, black nail polish across the tips of my nails, or better yet, using a Sharpie during class. Now there’s a fancier, more attractive alternative to the black French manicure— and boy, is it awesome.

4. Reverse French


Yeah, I didn’t think it was possible, either. Who knew the reverse Frenchie was a thing, let alone a very cool thing. I’m totally diggin’ the metallic gold, too — basically, this is just an all-around awesome manicure.
