Katy Perry appeared at the Rio de Janero premiere of Part of Me in this surprisingly long Dolce & Gabbana gown. She completed the outfit with diamond jewelry and a matching silver belt.
More than anything, this outfit took me by surprise. Katy Perry, in a floor-length dress with long sleeves and a high-cut neckline? Is the apocalypse nigh? Has she been replaced by a body-stealing alien?
Of course, once you get past the shocking modesty of the outfit, it’s just unfortunate looking. The awkward fit, the frumpy sleeves, and that odd belt — it’s just bad. Granted, I may just be blinded by the fact that Katy’s breasts aren’t shooting out fireworks, but this outfit just doesn’t do anything for me.

Just because it is long and covered, does not mean it is modest. The dress does nothing to hide the shape of Katy’s body. You just can’t see her skin. I like the dress, I just don’t like the belt with it and I think it could have been a little less tight across her chest. I don’t think it should be loose, but it shouldn’t look like one wrong move and her breasts will break through.

The dress could be a tiny touch looser and perhaps a black belt would have looked nice with this, but other than that it isn’t too bad.
