Everyone’s got their own little secrets. This includes some of America’s most famous people…
We Americans love a good scandal. Heck, the affairs of John F. Kennedy still generate interest in today’s world, even though the people involved are either elderly or no longer with us. But we sometimes don’t want to know the ugly truth about famous people. We want to continue seeing them as perfect, way above what we could ever hope to be.
But come on, that’s no fun! We’ve assembled a gallery of famous Americans, each with secrets (and awkward photo poses) of their own. Because I think this is closest to the truth: Real stories about famous people are better than anything we can ever make up. They’re often crazier, too!
There’s even more secrets of famous Americans here!
Which of these facts surprises you most? Why do you think some things aren’t included in stories of famous people?

The only one I didn’t know was that Elvis was blonde.

I gotta wonder if Elvis would have been as famous as a blonde. Just like Marylin wouldn’t have been as famous as a brunette.

Why is Marilyn as a dark haired beauty seen as a bad thing to you??
I think a lot of these aren’t taught to us because people want public figures to be more superhuman than the “common folks”. A lot of things we’re taught in school are so fabricated.

Hi, just wondering. When you post multiple photos, can you do it as a scroll down and not as a ‘click this and it will reload the page’ kind of thing? I tend to do lovelyish on my iphone, and the load is always several minutes for each picture and takes so long. And also, that way you could comment on each picture. Like here, you could elaborate on what the secrets are of each celebrity rather than leave us to guess for ourselves. Just a suggestion that would make my life so much easier! Otherwise y’all are doing great. Thank you!
