I’ve recently had a new beauty experience that I’ve fallen in love with – false eyelashes! I’m seeing it not only on celebrities, but everyone seems to be sporting easy-to-apply fake eyelashes for a night out on the town or just to make their eyes pop!
So, as you may know (or not), I recently got married and for my wedding I had my makeup professionally done with false eyelashes. Check out one of my pictures with these awesome lashes!
I not only adored the way my eyes looked in my photos, but I also realize now that they actually makes your eyes look fierce!
Since not all fake eyelashes are created equal, I found some fun photos of celebrities wearing stunning (and over-the-top) fake eyelashes.
What do you think? Are you a fan of this trend?

You look so pretty in your pic. Thanks for sharing with us! I like fake eyelashes, but I only wear them on special occasions or when I’m going out at night. I just can’t be bothered to use fake eyelashes on a daily basis. Personally, it would be too much for everyday wear.

You look beautiful in your wedding pic! I love false lashes but I only wear them when I’m going to perform. They’re too much of a hassle to wear daily, at least in my opinion they are. I’ll just stick to the best mascara money can buy and some lipstick when it comes to daily use. ^^

Fabulous photo of you! I would definitely consider wearing false eyelashes. Only to go out at night, of course.

Thanks guys! They are so difficult to get on by yourself, but I love the results!

@Orlei@xanga - My co-worker wears huge false eyelashes everyday all day, once one of her eyelashes fell off and she pulled a brand new pair out of her purse along with a tube of glue LOL

I don’t blame you for lovin’ false eyelashes. When done right, a sweet look can be transformed into a sultry look. I don’t have much experience in applying them–I can’t hardly put them on, but I love love love how they make it look like you’ve got long, perfect lashes. I would only use them for special occasions and going out though. I wouldn’t consider them for everyday wear, might a bit much.

Yes, fake lashes have been used for quite a while now. I have sparse short stick lashes so I use them everyday.

This is not a new trend- it dates back to the pin ups like Betty Page, actresses like Liz Taylor & Marilyn Monroe. The desire to have starlet eyes has now even led to women getting extensions (that can cost up to $1000) and using Latisse, a medication that can make eyelashes grow (but can also lead to blindness, eek!).
I love using fake eyelashes & recently my boyfriend saw a new pair I had bought in the bathroom. He was freaked out but he also enjoys how I look when I “doll up”
