It’s National Lipstick Day! Lipstick is my favorite item of makeup, so let’s celebrate!
Lipstick was apparently invented in ancient Mesopotamia by women who crushed jewels to decorate their lips. I’m really glad us ladies don’t have to go through that anymore to get an awesome lip color!
My favorite shade of lipstick is ‘Strawberry Suede’ by Revlon. I’m actually wearing it in my Lovelyish ‘About Me’ picture. It’s a matte, bright, poppy watermelon-red. The matte formulation makes it last forever. It is a very summery shade, but I wear it whenever I can get a chance, year-round! It’s been discontinued by Revlon but you can find it on Ebay for fairly cheap.

Lipstick > lip gloss
I keep it classic with red, but also lovee nude lipstick.
My red lipstick of choice is RED-Y TO WEAR by Clinique and my nude lipstick is Victoria’s Secret’s SCRUMPTIOUS.

I use lip gloss more often than I do lipstick, but I always found it so glamorous and seductive. I adore how red lipstick looks, but I often feel I don’t have the confidence to wear a bright and/or bold shade.

I LOVE LIPSTICK! I love bold cherry reds. I wear any and all colors. dramatic ones are my fave. like hot pinks, bright oranges, deep dark plums and black cherry.

I’m really into coral lately and I splurged on a YSL lipstick in coral. Been wearing it every day!

I love pinks, reds, purples & berry colors (which are often blends of reds & purples). Lipstick is awesome because price doesnt always mean the quality isnt the best. Maybelline makes some of the best lipsticks I ever tried & they cost like $5-7 depending on where you shop. They work just as great as my $15 MAC lipstick. I often have one of each brand in my purse!

I own two red lipsticks (pomegranate, fruity based ingredients) and a pinkish shade lipstick as my staple colors. I’m hoping to soon get burgundy and nude shades from a particular organic brand I like a lot.

I like to wear velvet teddy from MAC! It’s also matte formulated, and I like the pale color because it looks subtle for everyday use. ^^ I honestly prefer lipstick than lipgloss. I’ve always had sticky experiences with lipgloss that would often make me look as if I ate a whole bucket of chicken at KFC…

I usually wear lipgloss but there are times were I wear this one shade of lipstick. It was my mothers. She wore away the label so I have no idea what the color is called. It is red with some purple overtones. I wore it to her memorial. My grandfather says it looks amazing on me. Makes me feel like I am a kid all over again and she gave me a kiss on the lips with her lipstick on and I would look in the mirror with a smile as to say, “I am pretty. Just like mommy.”
