After browsing a local store, I was intrigued after seeing similarities on the backs of various shampoo bottles. The bottom line? They all suggest following with the same line’s conditioner for the best results.
It took me until then to realize that I have been ignoring these suggestions and ‘mixing and matching’ for years now. Here are two of my favorite mixed brand combinations:
Herbal Essences Hello Hydration + Pantene Ice Shine =
I would say that Soft AND shiny is the ultimate combination for my hair. Not only are the scents of these shampoos amazing, but my hair ends up feeling hydrated and looks beautiful after every shower.
Dove Nourishing Oil Care + Pantene Beautiful Lengths =
I cannot rave about this combination enough! Usually, if my hair is soft it ends up being ‘static-y’…but with this combination it is soft AND static free! My friends have admitted to being jealous and now swear by these products.
Lovelies, do you mix shampoo & conditioner brands or stick to the same? What are your favorite ‘mixes & matches’?

To me, shampoo is shampoo regardless of the brand. I tend to buy Aussie shampoo and conditioner (their conditioner makes my hair SO SOFT)! But sometimes I just buy cheap shampoo and another conditioner (usually Ausie, sometimes Tressme).

All of those conventional products are so horrible for you. Have you looked at the ingredient list? Your skin will absorb anything and everything you put on it. After learning that, my new mantra now is, “If you wouldn’t eat it, then don’t put it on your skin!”
