It seems we’ve all reached that point where “Somebody That I Used to Know” has become completely unbearable. Every time those first notes start playing on the radio, I can feel my sanity slowly start to slip away. And while I usually react by reluctantly singing along, it has come to the point where this song just needs to stop. And in this video, comedian Eric Schwartz laments the difficulty of escaping Gotye — in a song.
This video perfectly sums up how we all seem to feel about “Somebody That I Used to Know” these days, all to the tune of the song we just want to go away. In it, Schwartz cleverly compares his need to stop listening to breaking up with Gotye (and Kimbra). As you can imagine, the duo don’t take it well.
The best part, though, is at the end, when he just trades out one catchy, overplayed song for another — by taking out that Carly girl’s number, and calling her (maybe).
Are you super sick of this song, too?

Nope. Don’t listen to the radio very often.
