I always come down with serious cases of envy when it comes to vintage shoes. Most women had much tinier feet back in the day, and my gargantuan (in comparison) size 9s just won’t fit. But here is a collection of shoes from 1939 that I envy simply because I can’t have them decorating my house. These accessories seriously rival anything being produced by designers today. Click here to see a gallery of them, and let us know which one is your favorite pair!
These styles are all by French designer Steven Arpad, who was clearly a cutting-edge force for his time. Couldn’t you see Jeffrey Campbell making shoes just like the ones above, or Alexander McQueen models walking in some similar to these? Head on over to the source to see even more drool-worthy pieces! Some of the styles were pretty interesting and unique, such as the heels on #1, 3 and 7 in the gallery. My favorite looks noted above were #6 and 10 in the gallery.

This gallery just doesn’t work for me. I’ll look at the tiny pictures but I don’t get why it’s necessary to click on every photo. Are you going for site clicks or something? Just wondering.

I also really like looks 6 & 10 in the gallery.

I like number ten, but the others look like they would hurt my feet or be kind of frumpy.
