Words of wisdom are a dime a dozen these days. You open up SkyMall and they’re carved into rocks or woven into antiqued wall tapestries to remind you to try harder to be a good person every day. But the wisdom of the world isn’t just derived from quotes from the Dalai Lama or Aristotle. Smart observations are made all the time by beings as humble as Jake from Adventure Time (above). Check out more of these down-to-earth quotes of unexpected wisdom below..

Amy Poehler’s quote is far from wisdom. I guess I should understand that celebrities think it is everyone’s right to “feel good’ all the time and that anyone who holds you accountable, or is simply a human who makes mistakes, needs to be kicked to the curb (and you can hire a new one).
I’m a big fan of the Adventure Time quote. They’ve had some good ones. Love Aang’s quote as well.

@Manic_Butterflies@xanga - I think it’s meant more as in people who never ever make you feel good. I took it that way anyway. I mostly agree with it. Too many people hang on to toxic friendships and relationships that make them feel worse in stead of better. I think that kind of goes against the point of having friends at all. I doubt she’s saying that if someone screws up once or twice you should just ditch them. It’s more an overall thing.

I love George Carlin!!! So much wisdom disguised as comedy. RIP man. Tupac’s quote reminds me of how I try and live my life every single day. Charlie Sheen’s quote was really surprising, but a perfect reflection of our obsession with pop-culture and most Americans’ complete non-awareness and uncaringness of world events. And I just absolutely LOVE Dr. House. I think a better quote from him would be “everybody lies.” And Adventure Time is always mathamatical!!
