Sound totally unexciting? I think that’s kind of the point. For all of us out there who have long ago tired of all-in-one mystery drinks promising energy and a buzz — oy, they make for a massive hangover, don’t they? — and whose alcohol tolerance has dropped off dramatically since college (like myself), there’s a new drink called Air (not to be confused with air, naturally) that combines carbonated water and 4% alcohol for a 95 calorie sippable that won’t make you fat or sloppy-drunk in a hurry.
A.I.R. stands for “Alcohol Inspired Refresher” which does sound… refreshing. Any of you ladies out there who always order a vodka-soda at the bar, this drink is designed to taste even less like alcohol than that. It does come in two flavored varieties — citrus and berry — but I’m all for the club soda version. And since it’s so low in alcohol by volume, you can buy it at the grocery store. I can’t say I’m not kind of stoked on this, for the nutritional amnesty of the boozy beverage and for its respectfulness to the drinker. I might not always want a glass of wine, but that sure as hell doesn’t mean I’m going to reach for a Four Loko. Oh yeah, and price: $6.99 for 4, $1.75 apiece.
Lovelies, is this a drink that’s up your alley?

As a vodka-soda lover, I’m happy about this.

Uh eff that, I want a much higher alcohol concentration than that in my drink. I prefer going for gin or vodka and then mixing with some juice or pop. Get a gin and tonic, or a vodka slime or cranberry with the vodka.
Also, I’ve been drinking quite a bit lately and I’ve so far lost 15 pounds since like Mayish. When I get drunk I eat less the rest of the day and the next. Ima keep with my good drinks lol.

I’d rather drink a beer that tastes like something. This is like the 21st version of Zima.

i’d try it

4%? There’s more alcohol (and flavour) in a can of beer.

i’d rather have light beer…the calories would still add up with this drink considering there is only 4 percent alcohol and i’d get all bloated so why wouldn’t i just have shots of vodka if i wanna save on cals

I’m all about this. I like to drink and get a little buzz, but I absolutely can’t stand the feeling of bring drunk. This sounds like a perfect little drink for me, and more delicious than my usual vodka + water with a twist of lime.
