As a teenager, I dyed my hair a lot. There are few colors that I haven’t put on my locks, but I had never considered (or heard of) metallic dye jobs before. But apparently it’s the new hair trend, and I kind of like it! But is this just a ridiculous, fleeting style, or could it be a legitimately vogue look?
According to the source, metallic is “the new holy grail of hair color.” That’s quite a heavy endorsement! One top stylist in London is working hard to perfect the look at a street level, and draws inspiration from the runway to Beyoncé. While she hasn’t quite mastered the dye job yet, it still looks like metallic hair may become a real trend someday soon!
Maybe this is just Olympic fever going too far; beauty brands seem awfully fixated on shades of silver, gold and bronze lately. Head on over to the source to read more! [via Fashionista]
What do you think of this trend?

Ooh, I love gold highlights. I used to put the temp ones in my hair for parties when I was a youngen.

I like it, but I think I would have to flat iron my hair or see what it looks like on super curly hair.

It can be nice for an occasion (party, mariage…), but not in daily life (for me).
That makes me think of them :

They were really sexy with metallic hair (and the “cyber-industrial” look)

I could imagine putting gold highlights in my hair. That would be pretty.

It kind of reminds me of those highlight mascaras we used to put through our hair when I was in like grade four. Supposed to be blonde, turned out looking gold or silver and cheap. It still looks cheap to me.

I learned the hard way that silver hair is not for me, so I’m a little jealous of people that actually have the skin to pull it off.
