I’m a podcast freak, but it’s hard for me to find podcasts that I think most people would like (they tend to be geared toward mediaheads like me). But The Dinner Party is designed for anyone who loves food, history, cocktails, or all of the above! 

This podcast, formerly known as The Dinner Party Download (back when it was a segment on the economics podcast Marketplace) releases an episode per week, which is pretty normal for a podcast. The hosts, Rico Gagliano and Brendan Francis Newnam, talk about any aspect of culture you can think of — even weird trends in food! Each episode includes interviews with notable people, readings from newly-released books, and even segments that answer questions on etiquette (that aren’t at all boring!). Past guests include Michael Ian Black, Rainn Wilson, and even the scandalous writer Jackie Collins. And every week they provide a cocktail recipe inspired by the events in history that week!

Yummy recipes. Brain food. Conversations with interesting people. What else could a Lovely ask for in a radio show?
