Though I’m not a terribly observant person, one of the things I’ve noticed around town this year is the popularity of flowers — floral prints, floral scents and, especially, floral headpieces. Here are five awesome tutorials I’ve found to make your own flower headband.
Who knew that zippers could look so…pretty? I love the texture the teeth give to the petals, and I really love how simple it is to make.
2. Ribbon Flower
This headband is just so classy — a perfect match for any little black dress. I especially love the touch with the beads in the center; they add so much sparkle!
3. Crochet Flower
This is probably the hardest of the headbands to make, but it is so worth it. The flower is made by crocheting, but similar flowers can be bought at craft stores if you lack that kind of skill (but where’s the fun in that?). Everything about this headband is so sweet and pretty, it really lives up to the blog’s name (You Seriously Made That?!).
4. Sheer Flower
This headband is so simple and so elegant that it’s both unbelievable and totally believable that stores are selling similar products for ridiculous prices. With this tutorial you can best those boutiques and still get your fabulous headband!
5. Fabric Flower
This is probably my favorite of the headbands, for two reasons: one, it’s super easy, and two, it’s seriously beautiful. The flower is so detailed and almost realistic in its construction, it’s like having a never-wilted rose in your hair. Absolutely fabulous.
Lovelies, are you a fan of flowered headpieces? Would you try any of these DIYs?
