Modern Family star Sofia Vergara is known to bring in the laughs, but she apparently is a great draw for customers and viewers, too, because she’s now the highest paid TV actress in Hollywood. Vergara, who plays Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, also did commercials for Cover Girl, Diet Pepsi, Burger King, Comcast and State Farm last year, and she has a clothing line at Kmart. She was allegedly paid $7 million for the Kmart deal alone, so with commercials, TV stardom and movie appearances, how much did this Colombian-born actress earn in 2011?
According to the source, Vergara claims a revenue of $19 million dollars for last year. Not bad for a 40-year-old woman in an industry that places a ridiculous value in youth!
While I have a smug sense of satisfaction in announcing that she beat out Kim Kardashian, it was only by a million bucks: the reality star made $18 million last year. Eva Longoria falls into third place at $15 million, followed by Bethenny Frankel ($12 million) and Khloe Kardashian ($11 million).
Good for Sofia! While her earnings are nowhere near Kristen Stewart’s $34.5 million, I’m willing to bet that she’s doing fine, and I also think she deserves every penny. [via Newsday]
