I go through headbands the way an average person goes through Chapstick: usually I lose them before they get too worn. But the ones I do manage to keep are usually dull and ugly. Well, no more! Here are five headband tutorials I’ve found to keep my hair back and my head lookin’ pretty.
1. Turban
I see this headband, and all I can imagine is some ritzy movie-star walking down the street, iced coffee in one hand, yoga mat in the other. This tutorial is simple, elegant and very trendy.
Just in time for summer, it’s the perfect addition to your sea-going wardrobe. Though the knots are a bit tricky, the rest of the headband is easy, and the end result is so cute, it’s totally worth it!
3. Lace
This headband is both elegant and practical; it keeps hair out of your face, all while looking delicate and ornate. Bonus: it’s super simple to make (but you don’t have to tell anyone that).
4. Braid
As long as you can braid, you can make this headband. (And if you can’t, there’s a video tutorial that shows you how.) That’s how easy making this headband is, and considering how cute it looks, that doesn’t really seem fair.
5. T-Shirt
This headband is so simple and so precious, not to mention practical. And let’s not forget it’s green; it is recycled t-shirt, after all.
What do you think of these headbands? Which one is your favorite?

I love the turban headband. They are SO cute but really hard to pull off while still looking fashionable.
