My age was still in the single digits during the 90s, which meant that my idea of “fashion” was dressing up in my mom’s old prom gowns and slathering on some lipstick. Needless to say, I was (and still am) incredibly unaware of the decade’s trends. Which is why I’m mightily intrigued to hear that 80s and 90s fashion is apparently coming back in style. But is that a good or bad thing? Take a look at this gallery and let us know what you think!
I suppose I can get behind neon biker shorts…if I’m wearing them biking, or it’s a particularly windy day and I’m in a dress. Otherwise, I just don’t know if they’re any better than the “leggings as pants” trend. Honestly, I’m not sure if I’m a fan of any of these trends, but who knows? Once a look becomes stylish, sometimes the sight of everyone wearing it can be a weird sort of persuasion. Head on over to the source to see even more looks that may be prominent soon! What do you think of the 80s/90s trend? Would you wear it?

You know what scares me? That I remember each trend featured on here as if it were yesterday. I wore everything.

Jellies are cool. I started wearing them again a couple of years before my son was born and if I didn’t think I looked creepy, I would have never stopped wearing baby doll dresses.

I’m not really big on the whole momjeans/denim thing. So glad my fiancee isn’t into it.

I have used that black backpack on every school excursion since I was 5.
11 years later!

Bahahaha stirrup pants.. I so remember having those. I have a couple pairs of overalls but I’m still a little wary about actually wearing them in public.

I’m obsessed with backpacks and babydoll dresses! And I’ll wear some jellies if I can find a cute pair (: I remember getting such bad blisters when I was little wearing them.

I always wanted jellies but my mom would never buy them and said they were bad for your feet. I totally would buy a pair now if I could find them. And I LOATHED stirrup pants. I never wore them out because they bothered me in shoes, and around the house I would take my feet out of the stirrups and let them hang at the back of my feet because I just couldn’t stand my feet being connected to my pants lol.

80′s trends are making a comeback, the loud solid colors clashing… yeah. I don’t understand it. I wish it wouldn’t. I didn’t like the 80′s styles the first time around…

You know what would be a cool comeback? Something attractive. I guess the off-the-shoulder sweater is okay.

PLEASE NO SCRUNCHIES!

LOL…stirrup pants. They’re fashionable and functional (how can your pants ride up if your feel are always keeping them down?) I did see someone wearing a mini backpack the other day. Only it was a man and he was a bigger guy and shirtless and riding a bike and I’m not sure, but I think there were Ninja Turtles on that mini backpack…and I just quit scrunchies a few years ago. No way am I going back.
But jelly shoes…yes, thanks. Except, can I wear mine with socks, because there is this really unpleasant thing that happens when your feet get hot and you’ve got jelly shoes on…
Never mind, these are all horrible, horrible ideas.
