Although they were first created in 1917 as a basketball shoe, today Converse sneakers can be seen on even the most non-athletic of fashionistas. How could you not love them? They’re sporty, casual, available in a variety of colors, and can be worn with everything from jeans to sundresses. Everyone can find a way to work these timeless kicks in their wardrobe… including celebrities!

I fondly remember my last pair of Converse, which I stopped wearing not because I was tired of them, but because I literally wore holes into them. My most versatile shoe, it could be paired with every outfit I wore during my freshman year of high school. At some point, I thought it would be cool to color them with Sharpies. Needless to say, by the time summer rolled around, my laceless Converse had definitely seen better days. You could literally see my socks when I wore them, and their once-creamy white color was obscured by hundreds of doodles. My mom made me throw them away!


Recently, I’ve been considering investing in another pair of Converse. A nice pair of white or gray Chucks could easily be worn with pretty much every outfit in my wardrobe! I’m not the only one loving this trend, though. Hollywood’s biggest celebrities have been seen strolling about wearing these classic sneakers. Whether they’re shopping, grabbing a coffee or just walking around town, these celebs prove that Converse are not only comfortable, but fashionable as well!
