Since the time that it has been created, Pinterest has become famous for its efficient organization of unique crafts, beautiful clothing and makeup ideas, and delicious recipes. As an avid fan of the site, I love scrolling through cosmetics and fashion-related pinboards when I have a free moment or two. As I spend more time perusing Pinterest, though, I’m finding that a lot of ideas aren’t as unique as I used to think they were… and I’m not the only one!
Many of the once-original ideas on Pinterest are now becoming fairly commonplace on the site. Perhaps, as a Pinterest addict, I am one of only a few people who would appreciate this occurrence. When I first saw the apple pie-inside-the-apple creation, I thought it was the cutest dessert ever baked! Now, though, it’s just one of many once-original Pinterest ideas that have become cliché. I don’t mind that the same pins show up often, it just frustrates me when I see a pin I like but when I click on it, it is only a picture rather than actual blog/website it was from. The whole point of the pins is to allow others know where they can get something or how to make it for themselves.
