This summer’s been quite a scorcher, and it’s easy to overheat during the day. Sometimes, chugging water just doesn’t help. Here are three DIY cooling sprays for those sweltering, sunny days.
1. Lavender
This spray is simple, customizable, and smells fantastic. It practically doubles as a perfume — the scent depends on whether you stick with lavender or choose a different oil — and keeps you feeling refreshed.
2. Green Tea
Besides being chock-full of antioxidants and other great health benefits, green tea is also wonderful for cooling down. It’s hydrating, it repairs sun-damaged skin, and it is easily transferred into spray form. And besides tea and ice, there’s really nothing to this spray. It’s beyond simple.
3. Aloe Vera
Your favorite sunburn treatment, now in a convenient mist form! This spray is pretty strong, so a small dose gets you super cool. And there are a bunch of different variants on the recipe, depending on your ailment or skin type. (There’s also a how-to guide when it comes to buying aloe vera gel — so handy!)
What do you find most refreshing in the summer heat? Would you try these DIY sprays?

They sound lovely, but wouldn’t they attract bugs?
A cool drink of water with tons of ice works for me.

I’m totally going to do this once my spray bottles are empty!
