Pie charts don’t always have to be used as visual aids for boring statistics. When you apply them to the odd nuances that unconsciously happen everyday, it will both amuse you and leave you thinking “Weird, I didn’t even realize that…” As a Southpaw myself, the pie chart pictured above is 100% truth and I hold my pen in such an unconventional manner that sometimes strangers, in a state of utter perplexity, pick up a pen and try to mimic me. I’m not a freak! Close to 15% of the population is left-handed, jerk. I ought to illustrate my point with a pie chart.
What other overlooked non-issues have risen in awareness from the simple use of pie charts?
Most of these featured charts are from the website GraphJam. Click through to look over a plethora of graphs, ranging from pie charts to Venn diagrams! (Venns are my favorite, if that gives any hint of my nerdom) And for fans of How I Met Your Mother, here’s a tribute to Marshall, a frequent chart-addiction sufferer.

Most of these made me laugh. There should be one for us tall people.
Title: what people say when we first meet”. ”wow your tall” being the entire pie chart. Sometimes I want to act surprised like I never knew that before, just to see what they would do.
The netflix spelling error annoyed me a lot for some odd reason.

The left hand and glasses graph understand me so much. lol.
Although, I feel like the left hand chart should have an extra section that says “People who knew you were left hand, but are still surprise to this day.”
You do not know how many times my Japanese teacher points out that I’m left handed and the whole class that has known me for a year or two still exclaims: YOU’RE LEFT HANDED? OMG!”. Same people…-_-
