I live in Oregon, in one of the rainiest cities in one of the rainiest states in the U.S. Naturally, this has led to a good percentage of my summer being… soggy. But I’ve learned how to deal with this non-Old-Navy-commercial-esque summer weather. Here’s how you can too!
I’m avoiding the most obvious piece of advice here (relocating to somewhere that’s sunny/tropical) because frankly, most of us probably can’t afford to do that. I have compassion for my fellow stuck-in-their-current-town Lovelies. So I write for them now. Good luck!
Does your town receive a lot of rain during the summer? How do you beat the weird-weather blues?

I live in Northern CA (Norcal) which gets pretty warm (mostly in the mid to upper 80s with the occasional 90+ degrees). We rarely get rain in the summer and barely any thunderstorms. CA Summer is dry, warm, and the heat lasts until September. Though we sometimes feel hot until October. I wish for a more exciting summertime weather, in terms of T-storms and rain.
I am so glad the weather has cooled down for all of you people. My friend lives in Atlanta and she suffered through weeks of 100+ degree weather.
Here’s to more comfortable weather.

I live in Southern California and recently it has been pretty warm where I live but the temperatures vary from 70s (coastal) to 110s (inland) during summer. Mostly been mid 80s, but it gets cool in the evening sometimes. Best way to manage is to wear thin layers–clothes that are easy to remove/put on depending on the weather. Thank goodness it is mostly dry heat, if the humidity is high, even at 80°F, it would feel unbearable. We rarely ever receive rain during summer…or heck, most of the year!

I refuse to read this article because of the irritating picture format, but my advice for rainy weather is to suck it up and deal with it. You can still have a great time regardless of the weather.

where i live, we get a lot of rain too and it’s so sad but when it’s sunny, i make time to go out and just soak up the sun.

Summer in Maryland and the surrounding area has well, sucked. It’s has been deathly hot (100+) or thunderstorming for the past 3 weeks. It’s cooled down this week to the 80s, but I don’t doubt that crap will be back in no time.

@liibabae123@xanga - I’m sorry, but can you send me a private message if you’d like to talk? It’s not really safe to put your private e-mail up on a message board.
