What do you Lovelies think of the Madewell fall 2012 collection? Would you buy any of these items?

I’d buy some of the items. I thought a look book was supposed to inspire you to want the items. This shit is so “ironic” that I wouldn’t have thought about any of it if I hadn’t checked the website. The theme of this look book must have been that the stylists had a hangover and just didn’t care.

I do like individual pieces, but the styling isn’t my favorite. Some of these combinations just don’t make any sense to me – like the outfit has two completely different girls in it – and the grey socks just seem forced; they distract. I think the first two rows of outfits are successful, but it just gets worse as you go down…row 3 is dissociative and row 4 is, well, a bit boring and outdated.

Looks very fun, I might assemble some a little differently. But I definitely like the interesting mess and awkward combinations in this collection. I would wear most of these casually.
