“Hey, what time is it?” I hear this question often, and when I do my first instinct is to check my cell phone. You, too? I’m not surprised. Rarely, if ever, do I see someone wearing a watch. But why? Watches are cute and practical accessories. Not only are they a convenient means of telling time, but they can be incredibly chic and come in a wide variety of colors and styles. So, should a watch be your next investment? I say yes.
As I type this, I’m glancing every so often at the silver, pink-faced watch by Betsey Johnson that I salvaged from the designer’s many closeout sales. I’m also wondering why I never bothered to buy a watch. For those who don’t wear much jewelry, watches are a great way to add to an outfit without piling on bracelets and necklaces. Furthermore, they’re so convenient. When I have to check the time, I will no longer have to rummage around in my purse for five minutes before unearthing my cell phone.
