I recently spent about two months salivating over a pair of flats from the Kate Spade New York website. I eventually got them for less than half price, but they were still a pretty penny, and I’m not accustomed to spending that much on shoes. Nonetheless, when they arrived… I was in love. They’re gorgeous, comfortable, and I get compliments on them every time I wear them. But when I shop on the site now, sure, things steal my heart, but the emotional roller coaster of waiting for things to go on markdown is a little too much for my little heart. I find that I’d rather just… not look sometimes.
But lucky for me, word surfaced this morning in the New York Daily News that the company is planning a lower-priced line called Kate Spade ‘Saturday’ complete with clothing, footwear, cosmetics and home goods!
Purportedly the line will match brands like Madewell and C Wonder for price point (not cheap, but still a little easier to stomach for investment pieces); And while there isn’t an exact release date yet, rumors and speculation are likely to have ladies like myself waiting with bated breath for what’s in store.
Are you a Kate Spade New York fan? Will you be interested in Kate Spade ‘Saturday?’

I’d love to see it, but I’d only buy it if the quality is worth the money. I LOATHED when I buy some designers low end line and the stuff falls apart easier than stuff I buy at Target.

Oooh very curious to see how this line will turn out! I’ve never bought anything from Kate Spade but I agree with you that it’s great fun to look at and drool over.
The most recent lower end line that I’ve bought some thrifted pieces from is Vera Wang’s line, while I think only sells at Kohl’s. Loved the quality and versatility of the pieces I purchased (for less than $5 each at my local thrift store!).
