Hey lovelies, Andrea here. As one of your resident crazy cat ladies, I’ve been disappointed to see that the number of cat-related content I’ve posted this week has been quite low. (Blame vacation. I guess even I can take a break from felines.) But fret not, dear readers, because I come bearing good news: there’s going to be a new festival in the film world, and it only features cat videos. Yeah. Get excited.
The Walker Art Center in Minneapolis has issued a call for aspiring filmmakers to submit their cat videos. The center’s blog released a post stating:
Walker Open Field welcomes cat lovers (and challenges haters – c’mon, you know who you are) to openly release your cat-video-induced giggles and emotions that are otherwise muffled by computer screens and constrained by cubicles. Rejoice and be free like my favorite triumphant slow-motion kitten playing in the video below. Let’s transform this singular small screen viewing experience into a shared celebration with the larger-than-life projection of these silly clips out on the Open Field.”
Ah, if I could just afford a trip to Minneapolis. I wonder if my best friend would be super-pissed if I traded my plane tickets to visit her in Denver for ones to go see this festival? Yeah, probably. I’ll just have to keep my cat video watching where it belongs: holed up in my room at 3am. For those of you who also can’t go, here’s another Lil Bub video to make your day:
