I hear it all the time — cats are so proud. They’re overly indignant, loners. But some cats (my cat for example) are all about humans. They love us. They want to be like us, be with us, be up in our business all the time. Here’s a handful of photos I found as proof positive that not all cats think they’re better than you. Some of them just want to hang out with you.

Miss Allie says, “Don’t be fooled. Those cats are only making sure their people remember the most important thing in their lives.”

One of my cats sleeps on my pillow behind my head -_- Sometimes he even goes as far as to bite on my hair and try and rip it out o.O He’s really cute though, so I cant be mad at him
Just playing… My other one ALWAYS sleeps with me and my boyfriend. They are both really lovey kitties

That is so awesome! My cat was the kind that always wanted to hang out with me. Probably because no one else paid any attention to her. She would lay on my chest while I was on the couch watching TV… And whenever suitcases were out, she would realize I was going somewhere and she would freak out and hide so she wouldn’t have to say goodbye to me… I miss her..

Super friendly and affectionate cats are actually a nightmare for me because I’m allergic. They come up to me, try to get in my lap or rub up against me and I have to insist the owner help me out or I blow in the cats face. I hate doing it, because I don’t actually dislike cats and will generally pet one if it’s just chilling and I can easily wash my hands immediately after. And I’ll talk to one as much as I talk to dogs. Which is a lot.

@Digital_Angel21@xanga - I noticed the less you try to pay attention to a cat, the more the cat is interested in you. One of my friends, who is a fellow cat lover, whenever she stops by my cats split so fast you would have thought someone just opened a can of food for them.
Our cats were very friendly when they were kittens, but now that they’re grown up, they don’t want anything to do with us! So sad. They’ve got such soft and smooth fur, it is relaxing for me to pet them. They do get very interested if you happen to be holding a piece of food that they like. My cats especially like chicken, but I only give them a little if I’ve cooked a piece specifically for them (plain, baked or boiled).
