Well, this is terrifying. Apparently there’s a new Twitter trend where men snap photos of their sleeping one night stands and post them online. It all started with Gaz, an upstanding gentleman from the show Geordie Shore (the UK version of Jersey Shore) who Tweeted a picture of his snoozing Saturday night fling. “How many people r doing the walk of shame hahahaha #wakeupwitharandom #awkwardtaxihome,” he wrote. Oh dear.
Twitter users responded in droves, and Gaz even re-Tweeted some of their images. He continued to promote the “creepy virtual slumber party” (as Jezebel so eloquently put it) by posting things like, “Loved #BedOfShame #awkwardsundays. Defo doing it again next week yer?” The posts have since been removed and Gaz has apologized, but apologies don’t erase Internet history, and some people are even angry that he was forced to apologize. “People have to remember that the so called victims of #bedofshame made the decision to have a one night stand..#consequences,” one user wrote. So I guess the next time you go home with someone, make sure their iPhone is far away from the bed! [via Jezebel]
What do you think of this trend? Do these women deserve it?

Disgusting.

Really? Do these women deserve it? No, they didn’t deserve it. They agreed to sex with someone they didn’t know. That doesn’t give him the right to take their pictures. This is nothing new. Douchebags have been doing this for years, they just have the internet now.

Creepy O.o

they dont deserve it but I don’t really feel sorry for skanks of either gender.

Disgusting! Double standard at its best…

Men are disgusting, hence why I sleep with women.

Some of my coworkers do that; I’m aware of it only because they tried to get my husband to do it while we were still dating and hadn’t told anyone we were a couple. It’s rather disturbing… more so than these pictures. They write their names on their one night stands, then take the picture, then send it to everyone in their little group.
guest
of course not.
Considering consequences because the world is full of creepy assholes is one thing…it’s what you do for yourelf, but just because things can POTENTIALLY happen, it doesn’t mean it’s ok if they do happen. #blamingthevictim.

They don’t deserve it, but maybe people should stop sleeping with people they know absolutely nothing about.
guest
that is sick. the internet is turning into a tool for human evolution; if you don’t get thick skin, chances are you’re gonna get burned. what a shame.
guest
I don’t think they deserve it because, obviously, the men who do this go into with the intent to do this in the first place. It’s not like the women went and slept with some random guy, I’m sure these guys put up a really good act before getting them in bed, just specifically to do this.
If it was all secretly planned out from the start, just as a set-up, then no, definitely not in the wrong of the woman.

One word:
Disgusting.

i think these men should be ashamed of themselves. also though, they put their faces out there for the world to see as well…not many women will want to settle down with men who treat women as a game.
douchebags, the lot of them.
guest
It’s foul and vile. These boys (no real man would do this) are immature, little pricks.

This is utterly appalling. No one deserves to be shamed. Posting pictures up of one night stands while sleeping no less, is exactly that. Shaming them. These guys are disgusting & I hope one day someone takes a picture of them while they snooze, drool & all & posts it online.
“Oh sorry mate! You went to bed didn’t you? Like a normal person does? Well! That gives us the right to take a shameful picture of you sleeping & post it on the interwebs!”
Mhm.

this is wrong. even though you can see the hair

I think it’s sketch and rude to take pictures of anyone without their knowledge and post them. Sure, the girls made the decision to sleep with the guy, but what happened to not kissing and telling? I think he did need to apologize. He was being creepy and shady

this is horrible. I took a picture of a guy asleep next to me doing a thumbs up once…but he’s one of my friends and we were just chilling haha. But now that I know this exists I feel weird lol!
guest
well ain’t that disrespectful… good thing i can see the guys’ faces in the pic so whenever i come across them i can rip their balls off.
guest
So I guess the whole “a gentleman doesn’t kiss and tell” thing is long over.
guest
Well… They did kinda hook-up with douche-bags…

So let me get this straight. There are guys who advertise what giant idiots they are all over the internet, and they still get dates? I’m having a hard time telling who’s making the most spectacularly dumb decision here, the guys who do this or the women who sleep with them.

I’m not one to support one night stands and I think people who make their own decisions good or bad should prepare for the consequences. But thats not to say they deserved this. Its pretty messed up really. Altho for all we know some of these women might not have been ashamed as one may think and probably wouldn’t care.

@Nous_Apeiron@xanga - hahaha I was thinking the same thing XD
