I honestly have to just accept sometimes that life is crazy-busy and hectic. And while I’m pretty much doing everything I like or love (with the exception of a string of days here and there when the day job is majorly stressing me out) I sometimes wish things could just slow down. That I could slow down.
Looking at vintage photographs always calms me down for some reason. I can’t exactly pinpoint why. I guess because these moments are captured, paused, beautiful. But you know their stories continued forward. That’s kind of beautiful to me.

Have you ever found a lost photograph from the past? Do you look to the past for perspective too?

I get lost in photos all the time, but since I lean toward the dark and morbid most people wouldn’t find my thoughts as amusing as I do. Like the guy in the second photo…he thinks he is the sun, the moon, and the life force of the woman in the shadow…and is that a hammer he is holding and they are out in a field??? The places my mind would go with that photo. The first one is forgettable.
