What did we do before modern conveniences like the Internet, DVD players and cell phones? I only have vague, fuzzy recollections of the 90s, probably because my mind wants to block those memories of being so socially and technologically deprived. But it seems that some people remember exactly what the decade was like, and now there’s a great new meme about it!
Oh man, not being able to cancel on plans last minute was the worst, especially for a flake like me. Though I suppose there’s something to be said for being forced to be reliable. Head on over to the source to see even more versions of this meme! [via Buzzfeed]

If you wanted to watch a television show, you actually had to be in front of the television at the time the show was airing…

I miss those days… Seriously, when people tell me $3.86/gal is cheap for gas I’m like hells no! I remember when gas was $0.80 a gallon!

Ha, ya know what, reading these makes me appreciate how much everything has gotten better tech-wise since the 90s. My parents ended up getting a second telephone line because of internet so things got better after that. But then I told them I wanted internet on my computer. And that was connected to the main line.
And every time I don’t have my cellphone and how helpless I feel…

i used to love rewinding tapes because we had an automatic rewind-er shaped like a car.
