I’ll be honest, I had never once heard of Lilly Pulitzer until I joined a sorority. The company is mainly known for their loud prints found on fabulously cute skirts and dresses. But what Lilly has made an effort to create itself as a brand loved by sorority girls.
Beginning over two years ago, Lilly Pulitzer began creating custom sorority prints. It only began with only four but Lilly has since expanded to fourteen. Each year, there is a competition in which girls need to vote for their sorority to ‘win’ a custom print.
The Lilly Pulitzer design team works to custom design a print that is then approved by the sorority’s national organization to make sure it is appropriate. Once it is approved, there are various products that are designed in each print and available for purchase. The prints are outfitted in the organization’s colors and usually have their symbols, mascots, and mottos strewn throughout.
I’m especially excited this year because my own organization won a print! The hours I spent slaving over the computer voting my butt off so we would make the finals were worth it. I’m embarrassed (sorta) to admit I was stealing all my friends e-mail addresses as well!
Pre-order for the newest print class, as well as a few new items for all the sorority’s in the Lilly Pulitizer Sorority collection begins July 9th on Lillypulitzer.com. Which means my bank account is about to become depleted very quickly. I’m especially excited about the new phone case! Too bad I won’t be able to tell my phone apart from all my other sorority sisters now.
Below are some of the represented sororities – can you spot the hidden symbols in each?
Lovelies, would you purchase items from the Lilly Pulitzer sorority collection? Is your sorority represented yet or do you have to wait until next year to enter again?

No way. The only way I’d wear that crap would be b/c back when I was young enough to be a pledge, hazing was still common.

No. I live in the UK. Greek houses aren’t something we have over here.
Also, I don’t mean to offend… but I find every single ‘Sorority print’ exceptionally unattractive. I think you’ll be wasting your money, and it looks like all the other commenters agree. =P

I love Lilly! I went to the warehouse sale near Philly a few weeks ago. I love the agendas because they’re really cute and I ended up buying a bunch of shirts and sweaters.

Wah my sorority still doesn’t have a print yet.

Looks like a low-budget ripoff of Vera Bradley, which still isn’t saying much because Vera Bradley is also hideous.

Love LILLY! I’m kind of sad my sorority doesn’t have a print, but I love their other things!

@ask_ashleyyy@xanga - Lilly tends to be a bit more high-priced than Vera, plus I think Vera’s ugly.

I was so excited this year because my organization was chosen as well! I can’t afford most things Lilly, but I look forward to getting a tumbler or an agenda in my sorority’s print.

its like stuff a slutty grandma would wear.

I can’t afford Lilly…let alone a sorority membership.

I think Lilly is way cuter than Vera – and I can’t wait until my sorority gets a print!
