The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence showed up Monday night at Christian Dior Haute-Couture show in Paris looking every bit appropriate in head to toe Dior. From her summery red and white floral Dior dress to her adorable nude Miss Dior peep toes, I think Jennifer pulls off this look effortlessly.
What’s hard about haute-couture is I usually feel the fashion is so far from reality. The gowns and pieces are usually gorgeous, but a bit unconventional and not necessarily made for ordinary wear. Jennifer’s outfit is the opposite of that. While still keeping herself classy and paying homage to the designer, she is wearing an outfit that I could see myself wearing. Jennifer prides herself in wanting to be a down to earth actress and always keep it real, and this outfit does a great job of displaying that mentality.

Geck. I know everyone probably loves it, and it is cute, but I think that’s what’s really wrong with it. It’s too cutesy. She looks like she’s thirteen and going to a tea party. I will admit, the shoes and bag are spot-on to the dress. The simply-brushed hair matches the look, but it also makes my point for me. All in all, she’s very well put together, but it’s still wrong. Perhaps the problem is location specific; I might love this at someone’s afternoon tea in the backyard, but not at an evening occasion indoors.

As someone already mentioned, it has a retro look to it. In fact, as I was looking at the photo, I thought that what was missing was a pair of short white gloves to complete the look.
