Yup, it’s true. And it’s proof that you really need to save your warranty sheets.
Apparently, Jason Codner of Manchester, England destroyed the store out of anger at his refund request being denied. He was filmed by someone in the crowd outside the store, which contained not only passerby but also the store’s employees and customers, presumably kicked out for their own safety. He was arrested and charged with criminal damage and a public order offense.
This just makes me wonder—why? When would it be appropriate to destroy an entire store because you were wronged by its employees? Sure, everyone gets angry at customer service people. But what did this guy gain by endangering the other customers? Maybe that’s why this guy’s behavior is so shocking.

What do you think of this man’s behavior?

Totally uncalled for. I have never understood why people get so irate. If he went in there and couldn’t get a refund, he is more likely to be helped if he had asked nicely. Just because you’re mad, it doesn’t give you the right to vandalize the store. Actually, you never have the right to vandalize someone else’s property. He shouldn’t be surprised if he gets a bill to replace store’s displays and cleanup.

i’m actually thankful that it’s finally not a fellow american this time

Classy. Control your temper, dude.

I wonder whether T Mobile will kick him off their cell phone contract. I would not be surprised if he is served papers.

Haha, when I clicked the video I was expecting to see some guy going totally insane and destroying everything in his path not unlike the tasmanian devil. But in actuality he’s quite calm about it as if it’s his job to be wrecking T-Mobile… which makes me laugh even more than the crazy tantrum I was expecting would have xD “Doo-doo-doo, let me just rip this sign down here, take apart that shelf there…”
guest
Well… T-Mobile really sucks….. Had family working for them and they are a HORRIBLE company.. Treated their employees like shit, so I think they deserve it. I dont care if they really didn’t deserve it, but its a crap company…

That dude was really in the zone!
@millionofstars@xanga - really? no you’re kidding, right?
guest
@bbanmen420@xanga - Well I currently have a year long contract with them. I cannot wait to change cell phone companies. I should have stuck with AT&T.
guest
Wow. But why did it take the police so long to get there? The guy had already destroyed a lot of the store before the video had started lol.
guest
I can’t stand T-mobile but that doesn’t give me or anyone else the right to go in and wreck one of their stores.
*facepalm*

While I do not condone what he did, I too was wronged by T-Mobile as well and I think more places would do well to remember “Customers are right.”

@surveys_fortheteenageesoul@xanga - right? i was expecting loud swearing and hand flailing. but this guy is just as funny with the whole “what’s he–is he tearing down th–he just–oh”

Getting angry at employees for their company’s policies or prices is about as useful as getting angry at the weather man for telling you that it’s raining outside. He’s just telling you how it is. He’s not making it happen.
guest
I certainly can’t wait until my contract ends with them (ended up taking my irresponsible brother’s account, which was why I started T-mobile in the first place). But yeah, I’m not going to wreck their store.
guest
What did he gain? You’re grasping for a rational explanation of decidedly irrational behavior. Maybe it just felt really fucking good to let loose for once.
Despite having gone way too far, he had the right idea. The only way to get these companies to give an inch is to get pissed off and let them know. Doesn’t always work, but I get much better results when I’m being disagreeable than when I’m polite. They don’t think they can walk over you quite so much.

LMFAO that’s the funniest shit i’ve seen all day! i would have been laughing my ass off filming it if i’d have been there. what an idiot!
