The official cover are for J.K. Rowling’s new novel, The Casual Vacancy, was released today. Wanna know out more about the book?
From Mugglenet.com…
When Barry Fairbrother dies in his early forties, the town of Pagford is left in shock. Pagford is, seemingly, an English idyll, with a cobbled market square and an ancient abbey, but what lies behind the pretty facade is a town at war. Rich at war with poor, teenagers at war with their parents, wives at war with their husbands, teachers at war with their pupils…Pagford is not what it first seems. And the empty seat left by Barry on the parish council soon becomes the catalyst for the biggest war the town has yet seen. Who will triumph in an election fraught with passion, duplicity, and unexpected revelations? A big novel about a small town, The Casual Vacancy is J. K. Rowling’s first novel for adults. It is the work of a storyteller like no other.
Rowling’s first non-Potter novel is set to be released September 27, 2012 and is 512 pages long.
512 pages of new Rowling?! As a Potter nerd, I’m pretty stoked. What about you, Lovelies? Will you be picking up Rowling’s new novel?

I never read HP =P I have all the books and I love the story (from what I see in the movie but I know the book is so much better) Theres something about reading fantasy style fiction that I can’t quite seem to get into so maybe i’ll enjoy this one. Anyhow, she’s a talented women – and I mean starting from scratch she has to be, so i’m sure it’s gold.

Hopefully she’s better balanced now that she isn’t writing children’s literature…

Hmmph…. I’m not entirely enthused. Frankly, there’s enough war and election drama in the news today without Rowling’s trying to drum up more in her fictional town.
Still… if there’s a Rowling-penned sex scene in that novel I might read those pages out of sheer curiosity.
