The fashion scene in Austin is bigger than one might think. There is a fairly large community of independent boutique owners, designers and all-around fashionistas. I’ve been seeing more than a few jewelry trends that have me thinking “That is so cool! But I could never pull that off. I’m just not daring enough.” I think that’s what fashion really boils down to… being daring enough to just do it.
More often than not, if I take the risk and wear something that is a little out of my comfort zone I get a lot of compliments. It’s all about confidence. Wear whatever you want, just do it in a way that shows you’re comfortable with who you are, no matter what you have on. I should take my own advice more often.
Here are 5 bizarre pieces of jewelry that a future, more confident me would wear proudly.
Rosebud dagger rosary by Pamela Love
Would you ever dare to wear any of these?

I used to love eyeball jewelry in the 90s. I remember saving to buy this eyeball ring, that I would still own today, but I lost a ton of weight and it fell off my finger one day. I should totally buy another one. It would make my inner child so happy.

There are these gothic earrings and wrap our your ear and I’ve always wanted one but don’t want to spend the money on something I’d MAYBE where once.

Not for me. These are too freaky.

I like the teeth one. I’d only wear it if it wasn’t made of real teeth though.

I have a fake little eye ball in my belly button (piercing). But I don’t like those jewells, the one with theeth is disgusting.
