It may be Friday (which usually makes for a slow news day) but there’s plenty of celebrity gossip coming our way! First Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes announced their divorce, and now Adele has revealed that she’s pregnant! How exciting! (The Adele part, at least…)
Today the multiple Grammy winner submitted a post to her blog entitled, “I’VE GOT SOME NEWS.” As you’ve surely guessed, the news is that she’s expecting.
Im delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together,” she wrote. “I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx”
Congratulations to the couple! I wonder how this will affect her future songwriting material? I imagine that it’s awfully hard to pen despondent lyrics when you have a baby on the way. Or maybe it isn’t? Pregnancy can cause lots of emotions, I hear! [via The LA Times]

Wow, why the fuck is everyone being so rude and hateful towards Adele in this post so far? A nice “Aw, yay, congrats!” would’ve been nice
Anyway, I’M happy for Adele. Her child is going to be very beautiful!

Good for her.
She has an amazing voice, but as a role model for women, I hate her.
She’s PROUD of being fat. It’s one thing to say you’re comfortable with your size, etc.. but being overweight is associated with numerous dangerous conditions associated with your health. Why be proud of that and why voice it, if you’re a celebrity?!

I like some of Adele’s songs and I think she has an amazing voice, and I also support her role-modeling. Everyone should feel comfortable in their own skin, unless it’s really life threatening. Congrats Adele! xoxo
