Holy frijoles, it’s hot out there! The majority of the country is being ambushed by the sweltering sun, debilitating our every move. I step outside in the morning and my body instantly breaks a sweat and is overcome with ickiness. The cute glow of summer has its literal boiling point, and my state of Texas is an unforgiving face-melter. Oh, I also hate all of you on the West coast.
Luckily, you don’t have to go far to relieve the unpleasantness that your face is experiencing. Just go to your kitchen and whip up these 3 homemade masks for after-sun refreshment!
1. Avocado and Banana Mask, via Free People Blog, for hydrating your skin and preventing sun damage and aging.
2. Grape and Honey Mask, via Real Beauty, for nurturing antioxidants.
3. Rejuvenating Orange Mask, via Sunkist, for a beautiful glow and bounce.
Have you made your own face masks before? What ingredients do you like to use?

banana and avocado smoothies are delicious. The best part is you don’t have to add sugar because bananas are so sweet, and you can make it into a milkshake or with soy milk. Mmmmm.

I just did a yogurt, oats and honey mask. My skin was really soft after that!

I haven’t made any masks, but seeing this and seeing my sister make them has made me want to.
