The Internet is a presently experiencing a hullabaloo over Louis CK. The third season of his show, Louie, premieres tonight on FX and the comedian just gained $4.5 million in two days from ticket sales for his tour starting in October. By the way, can all of my friends on Facebook stop gloating about their ticket purchases? I get it already.

Already a legend, Louis CK’s humor and delivery is impeccable. His quips are perfectly timed and largely received as hilarious truths. Ever the cynic, he is able to touch on sensitive topics, both on stage and on camera, and tackle them with brash honesty no matter how uneasy the subject. However, if you have seen his show, the material can take severe and macabre turns, in which humor and carefully crafted dialogue help to convey the gravity of uncomfortable topics we usually avoid discussing.

Louis CK’s brand of humor is relatable and eye-opening, if not occasionally profane. Okay, he is actually very profane and crass as hell most of the time.
