Ah, I can’t resist a good alliteration. So, calorie counting and Paula Deen’s efforts to tie butter directly to type II diabetes aside, butter… is still pretty great. It’s one of those things that, unlike bacon, actually has sustainability in society because it’s so versatile. Sure, it should be used with some sense of moderation, but there’s still nothing that does the job of butter quite like the stuff itself. And in order to make butter easier for whatever task you’re trying to accomplish, a handful of enterprising inventors out there have come up with some pretty amazing and hilarious gadgets exclusively for the purpose of using butter… better. Take a look.
That up there is a heated butter knife. Seriously, why is it 2012 and we’re just inventing this? I could see it being a Liz Lemon-esque staple for rapid consumption of cheese, too. Homebodies, rejoice! And then we have this little dream:
I love this description. According to the seller,
This butter mill gadget squeezes butter into a long, thin, lovely ribbon. A stick of butter can be spread into a 10-foot ribbon.
You don’t say. I mean, the gizmo itself isn’t much to look at, but I have to admit a ribbon of butter is awfully elegant. Have a look at some more spectacular ways to cut, dispense and consume butter in the gallery.
Are you a butter fan? Would you use any of these items?

I’d buy the butter saver, but not the rest. I remember eating at some restaurant somewhere that used butter molds. Everybody’s butter was shaped like something different.

I would legit buy the individual butter burners.

I love me some butter, but I never really serve any butter at the table. It is just me and my husband so if wanted butter, I’d either spread my toast in the kitchen or just put the stick on a little plate. I don’t really have any need for special butter tools, except for maybe a butter dish in case I ever have a holiday meal and wanted a fancy holder for the butter. (In the past, I put the butter on a small plate.)

when i was on vacation in louisiana, we used butter for crab… the individual butter warmers would totally be mine if i lived down there permanently. if you have patience and just put all the crab meat to stew in the butter, it’s fucking delicious.
i’m so hungry now.

How come you guys haven’t posted anything about the ruling of ObamaCare? That’s a HUGE deal and I feel it’s really important to mention even if it may not necessarily relate to fashion, beauty, or entertainment…

I’d get the heated butter knife. I hate it when I put it on my toast and all it does is rip holes in it, lol.

Bacon is not sustainable in society? That’s news to me.

wth paula deen. type II diabetes has to do with the body’s intake and regulation of SUGAR and insulin. How does butter even fit in to the picture?
