It’s almost July 4th, and we all know what that means! No, not cookouts and fireworks; it means that models and celebrities everywhere are going to be prancing around in American flag print! But is the look a cute nod to patriotism or just plain tacky? Check out our gallery and let us know what you think!
The above shot is from Azealia Banks’ new music video, and while I think Kate Upton’s USA bikini may be a bit much, I do love Azealia’s flag-print shorts. But I think the look is best pulled off by either all-American girls or risk-taking fashionistas, and I don’t fall into either category. So while it can be pulled off, you won’t see any stars and stripes in my closet this summer!

our flag is just geometrically ugly! I wish we had something a bit more symmetrical like the UK flag.
I usually just wear red white and blue without looking too much a flag around national holidays.

Meh…whenever I think about the American flag on clothes, the first image that comes to mind involves some drunk redneck dude with a mullet and a beer gut wearing a flag t-shirt with the sleeves cut off.
Maybe it’s just me though.

I like it, but I just can’t get over how disrespectful it is. I mean, you’re not supposed to let the flag be tossed around, and sat on, and o the floor, and if you’re wearing it, that’s what’ll happen…

I think flags on clothes look really tacky. If you’re at an international sports game or a big patriotic event, fine, but otherwise, just wear red, white and blue. No need for the pattern to be included too.

I don’t see anything wrong with wearing it. People burn the flag, so wearing it isn’t that offensive to me. Of course if I see someone in an American flag thong, I will be scarred for life.
