I was 18 when I got my nose pierced, much to my mother’s chagrin. There were several days of stony looks and audible sighs following my seat in the piercer’s chair, but eventually she grew to accept (or at least tolerate) the silver hoop in my nose. Willow Smith’s mom, however, may have no problem with her daughter getting a facial piercing, since there’s a new photo of Willow with what looks to be a tongue stud. The silver stud matches her braces nicely. I have a hard time believing that this is real, but it doesn’t exactly look like one of those fake magnet rings, either. If she did get pierced with or without parental permission, I’m sure we’ll be hearing more details soon! [via Daily Mail]

Yeah, the ball looks gigantic, which could be the angle of the camera, but I think there is a high likelihood of it being fake. I hope it is. As much as I like piercings and tattoos, I think they are best saved for when people are adults.

They do pierce tounges with very large and long barbells. The ball (if it is real) would look huge because she is so tiny, but It would also be sticking out from her tounge. They pierce it with extra long jewelry to compensate for swelling. I don’t think this is real. But maybe. Also I swear I don’t know this from experience

It looks fake to me. It looks like she and her friend brought fake jewelry and posed for a picture. Kind of like me and my friends would do with clothes our parents would never let us wear in real life (only we didn’t have digital cameras.

Well she isn’t sticking her tongue out so of course it looks too far back. I’m sure since she’s famous she get’s what she wants and this is what she wanted. Who cares really ?

Maybe it’s one of those cola ball candies? When I was a kid I use to put them on my tongue to see how a tongue piercing would look (I never wanted one but just for fun).
I mean she’s way too young to get a piercing without parental consent, and I would hope her parents would rather she decides when she gets older.

@KatieK - I have my tongue pierced and I did have a really long barbell but the ball was a normal size when I got mine pierced.

Hopefully not real. I think when a person hits 16, they can peirce whatever they want. I had to wait until I was 18 (other than ears, nose, and belly button) but I wanted more!

I don’t think it’s real. I would think people with tongue piercings will stick their tongue out. She looks like she’s trying to balance the ball on her tongue. I highly doubt her parents would allow her to get that done, but if they did, that’s great for Willow.
